What is Dia de Muertos, you ask? it literally translates to Day of the Dead, and it is celebrated on November 1 and 2 every year.

Don't worry, this isn't a day of rituals and scary stuff, quite the contrary. It is a holiday to remember the loved ones who have left this life and gone on to the after life. All we can manage to say still is "thank you." In these six months there have been lots of ups. Every single day we get a comment of "oh I didn't know you were here but it's great," "we love your food, so happy you're here," or "I'm so happy you're back!" Hello my friends, happy Monday! And for us, happy three months at our new place!

It has been an amazing three months in, and the lessons continue. I never imagined that we would have so much attention in such a short amount of time. At the same time I would like to make a "Villa Mexico Guide" for our new friends who have an expectation of Mexican food, because they've eaten at places that cook differently from us. The "guide" would explain why our ...
